Buttgenbach Viaduct in Belgium is a rail
bridge on Railroad 45A of Belgium. The Railroad connected Weywertz in Belgium and the German –
Belgian border at Losheimergraben. The bridge was built between 1910 – 1912 by
Germans, mainly for military purposes. The railway gradually declined and by 2001
only a tourist train offered a service for passengers. On 1 February 2004 the
line finally closed in 2006 and 2007, the railroad broken. The viaduct
however still remains.
Locomotive
No 201001 with a passenger train is seen
traveling over the viaduct
