ICE high speed trains operate all over Germany, with many connections to neighbouring countries such as Austria, Belgium, Netherlands , France and Switzerland. The trains have a maximum speed of 300 KM/hour (186mph) and connect major German cities and other cities in the neighbouring countries. I once had the pleasure of traveling in one of these ICE trains from Hamburg to Frankfurt. It was a remarkable experience. This train is awaiting a departure at the Frankfurt Hbf (Frankfurt Main Railway Station)
