The Sentosa Monorail was a monorail
system which served as one of the main means of transportation within the island of Sentosa in Singapore. The
monorail system commenced operations in 1987 and ceased operations in 2005 to
make way for the New Sentosa Express
monorail. Much of the track and all of the rolling stock were sold as scrap. Although
most of the track was dismantled, a section of the original track was kept to
serve as an elevated walkway for Sentosa's Nature Walk, and one can still see a
small section of track along Siloso Beach heading into the forest today.
