MÁV Class 424 287 Steam Engine, Hungary.

Locomotive 424 is the most famous steam locomotive produced in Hungary. Class 424 is considered the best steam locomotive type of the Hungarian State Railways. It made its first run between Budapest and and Vác on 22 April 1924. They remained in service until 1984, when steam engines were withdrawn in Hungary. Three engines were preserved for historical and excursion trains. 424 287 is one such engine. The train awaits a departure at the Vác railway station.

Sejourne Viaduct, France.

The Séjourné Viaduct which is entirely in granite, is 65m high, 230m long and is composed of a main arch of 30m wide, supporting 16 smaller arches in the Gothic style, above the Têt River. The Gisclard bridge, built between 1905 and 1908, was considered at the time as a real technical revolution. It has a central span of 156m between the axis of the piers and two half spans of 39m. Its deck has a slope of 6% and stands at 80m height. The 32m high piers support pylons of 30m. At the top of the pylons some guys and retaining cables are fixed to the dilatation fitting. These cables are fixed in the mountain. It is the first bridge of a new generation resolving the load bearing problem the railways were having.

Old Johor Bahru Railway Station, Malaysia.

The Johor Bahru railway station is a closed since 2010. The old JB station building has been replaced by JB Sentral. the old station building will be conserved for a future Mini Railway Museum for the Southern Region.

Kuala Lumpur Railway Station, Malaysia.

Kuala Lumpur Railway Station was completed in 1910 to replace an older station on the same site, the station was Kuala Lumpur's railway hub in the city for the Federated Malay States Railways before KL Sentral assumed much of its role in 2001. The station is notable for it architecture, adopting a mixture of Eastern and Western designs.

Tanjong Pagar Railway Station, Singapore.

Tanjong Pagar railway station (also called Keppel Road railway station or Singapore railway station, is a owned by Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM), the main railway operator in Malaysia.. The land on which the station and the KTM railway tracks in Singapore are situated is held by KTM on a 999 year lease.

Following an agreement between Malaysia and Singapore which was reached on 24 May 2010, railway operations into the station will cease by 1 July 2011, after which the building will be conserved.

A historic landmark opened in 1932, It consist of a very fine Central Waiting Hall with a domed roof, the walls being paneled with typical Malaysian scenes. In front are the letters FMSR (Federated Malay States Railway) and sculptures symbolizing Agriculture, Commerce, Transport and Industry.

Glacier Discovery, Alaska, U. S. A.

The Glacier Discovery runs on the Alaska Railroad between Anchorage and Grandview located 1063 feet above sea level. The train picks up the shore of Turnagain Arm, where beluga whales feed on small fish and salmon heading to spawning grounds. This area is part of the Chugach National Forest
