First Railway in Germany.

1835 sees the opening of the six-kilometer route between Nuremberg and Fürth – the dawning of the railway age in Germany. The route is owned and operated by the “Company for the Construction of a Steam Railway between Nuremberg and Fürth”. Private joint-stock companies are founded all over Germany – especially in the principal trade and industrial cities – to finance the construction of railway lines
